This photo was taken in the cemetery of a 175 year old church,
St Bartholomew’s, which is situated in west Sydney, Australia. It was on the
night of Halloween that 4 members of the Sydney South West Paranormal group,
were holding a vigil in the there.
At one point of their vigil, they heard a whining sound so
took a photo where the noise had come from. They took around 200 photos that
evening but it was this photo, that they spotted this strange figure.
It was Lead Investigator, Kelly Ryan, told a local
newspaper that this figure appeared male in appearance and it looked as though
the figure was running towards them.
The church and grounds are said to be haunted. The church
was built in 1841 and was destroyed by fire in 1989. A local historian, Hazel
Meggan, has research the cemetery and thinks the area is haunted by a jockey.
She told of the time that a local scout group once saw her being followed by a
short man who she believes may have been Thomas James Willis, aka the Penrith
Jockey, born in 1834 in Middlesex, England.
As well as the cemetery being where Willis’ mother Mary is
buried, a ghost who may be his daughter Emily who died in 1963 has also been
spotted there.
Witnesses have said they've
seen a young girl running through the cemetery and who matches Emily's
description
