This photo was taken in 1959 by Reverend R S Blance during a visit to the Corroborre Rock formation in Australia. The Reverend said he was alone when taking the photo and only noticed the partially transparent figure when the photograph was developed.
This photo is also known as 'The Watcher' and people seem to see either a woman in a white nightdress or an Aboriginal woman, dressed in a traditional style and others claim to see a priest.
Corroborre Rock is an important Aboriginal men's ceremonial site and to preserve it, there are strategies in place to ensure this area is treated with the utmost respect when people visit the area so not to disturb the thousands of years of knowledge this area holds.
