The Ghostly Face in the Window

This photo was sent to me by a friend who had stayed in this hotel, called the Ettington Park Hotel, in Warwickshire. The building is  Grade I listed and my friend was taking photos of the hotel, due to the amazing Neo-Gothic architecture. She wasn't aware at the time, of the ghosts that have been encountered by those who stay or work at the hotel.

The strange face wasn't seen at the time the photo was taken and it wasn't until she looked through the photos, that my friend noticed the strange face. Could it be one of the ghosts that is said to haunt this beautiful building or our eyes playing tracks on us?

I've added a photo of a people in the window, so you can see the difference between the ghostly face and the paying guests. Both photos were taken within minutes of each other.

Ghost sightings at this hotel, formerly part of the Shirley family estate and their historic home, have ranged from a Grey Lady, a Woman in White, 2 young boys from the Shirley family, who drowned in the nearby River Stroud in the 1800's.

There have also been sightings of a shrouded figure, said to be a monk or priest, a Victorian gentleman or sometimes the figure is said to be a Victorian gentlewoman, an army officer, as well as poltergeist activity such as a candle floating through the air, disembodied voices, footsteps or objects being moved around.

Have you had any haunting experiences whilst staying or working at the Ettington Park Hotel? If you have then I'd love to hear them!
